Drova Review - An RPG Worthy Of Your Time

A dark and mysterious world awaits you! When I first loaded up Drova: Forsaken Kin, I was welcomed with some sort of familiarity. I felt like I have been here before. It wasn't a bad feeling, it was just that: a feeling. As I progressed through the opening moments, I already found myself wondering about the world I was in. "Why am I here?" This means that the story, the art, and the atmosphere already had me hooked. Drova is an action RPG with retro styled graphics that take me back to the older Diablos. With a loot system, crafting, side quests, and more, you feel right at home. The campaign itself is 40 hours! Well, a lot more if you are like me and take your time doing all the wrong things of exploration. Let's get into some nitty-gritty of the world of Drova and see if you should pick this up yourself. The story itself is a big mystery throughout. Per it's description:   Encounter a society where ancient restless spirits and divided factions battle for domina

Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue Impressions

I am a big fan of Persona. The atmosphere, the music, the social interactions, the weirdness. All of it. The Persona series has always played pretty close to real-life scenarios of gym teachers thinking they rule the school and corrupt people of power poisoning the minds of their peers. Even if you don't have the time to play a 100+ hour campaign like Persona 5 Royal, just a few hours is enough to appreciate the world it has created and the similarities to our own. Metaphor: ReFantazio had a lengthy demo/prologue release and let me tell you. It's all of these things. It has the atmosphere. It has the music (although different than your typical poppy-Persona), the social aspects AND the weirdness. My gosh the weirdness. When I say that this game is strange, I mean it. It's not a bad thing at all since it is what I have come to expect from Atlus. The reality link has been sort of a controversial one involving politics and race and it is gripping and emotional from the start.

Lunar Remastered Collection releasing in 2025

In a world of remastered classics, one that I have weirdly wanted for some time now has been the Lunar series. Well, I must have gotten ahold of some magic wishes or something because during the Sony State Of Play today, Lunar Remastered Collection was announced. One of my first ever collector's editions of a game was for Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. I used to listen to the soundtrack and watch the voiceover outtakes ALL the time so I am pretty excited for this one! Lunar Remastered Collection will have some new features for modern day like widescreen support, enhanced pixel art, HD animated cutscenes, and all-new English voice acting. You will also have the ability to speed up the battles which seems to be a standard for remastering some of the older turn-based RPGs.  Enjoy the trailer below! Lunar Remastered Collection launches on PS4 and PS5 in the Spring of 2025!

My Elevator Pitch to 2K

Franchise mode is the greatest thing since sliced bread 🍞 It doesn't matter which sports game it is, I can sink countless hours into franchise mode. I love crafting blockbuster trades, signing free agents in the offseason, and drafting fake rookies. There is something alluring about taking over all these operations of the club, and bringing home the championship trophy.  Luckily for me, I can do all this in NBA 2K25, as it has the most fleshed-out franchise modes in all current sports games. The level of customization is insane. If I really wanted to, I could move the Oklahoma City Thunder back to Seattle, make their jerseys pink, and insert myself as the head coach. If I wasn't feelin' the 2024-25 season, 2K also give us the ability to start a franchise with a team from the past from certain eras. For example, I could also take control of the 2010 Trail Blazers from the LeBron Era and play with an injury-free Brandon Roy and Greg Oden. I mean how cool is that!? While fran
