MultiVersus has fulfilled my Smash Burnout

Let's get one thing straight: MultiVersus is not Smash. It is CLEARLY inspired by it in a wave of games doing the same (Nickelodeon All Star Brawl being one of the most recent). While a lot of these wanna-bes fail short, MultiVersus pushes way ahead of the rest and shows it has what it takes to be a legit competitor to Nintendo's Ultimate fighter mash-up. What separates MultiVersus from everything else is the strategy. Is It Time To Move On From Current Gen?

I have a Playstation 5. I do not have an Xbox Series X. Do I feel we should be making games almost exclusively for a console I do not have? Yes. Here is why: I fully believe that once you introduce a new hardware system, your focus should be on that system. I get that demand is higher than supply and not everyone can afford the newest tech, BUT I also feel that a lot of advancements are slowed or suffered through the lifecycle of that newest tech. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is essentially the same game on Playstation 4 & 5. How different would it be if it were ONLY on Playstation 5 nearly 2 years ago? I'm not saying you can't make games for last generation but when you are trying to advance features a
