WWE 2K23 REVIEW: AND HIS NAME IS!

**This review was based on the Playstation 5 version of WWE 2K23** WWE 2K has had a pivotal shift in direction with last year's 2K22. It proved that by taking some time off and being able to focus on the game development at hand, you can create something awesome. Refined gameplay, graphics, mechanics, and GM modes felt great to play. The skip from 2K20 to 2K22 was extremely beneficial. It did suffer from the WWE layoffs where the majority of its roster was axed by the time the game came out. That's not on 2K, though. Chalk that up to the ever-changing wrestling business just doing its thing at the worst timing possible.  WWE 2K23 takes all these things I mentioned and keeps them going. I will be straight-up honest, there is not much on the "improvement" side of things that immediately jumps out, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I REALLY enjoyed the MyRise and online modes in 2K22. They are back and great again. The most notable improvements I have found were t

The Last Of Us: Season 1 Review

Heads up! I will try to write this with as few spoilers as possible. Keep in mind though, there may be a situation needed for comparison.  There have been quite a few video games making the jump to live action (or anime style) these days and there is typically a 75% chance that it will not live up to the expectations of their original fan base. If we take a look at Halo, for example, even though a season 2 is coming, a lot of viewers felt it veered off of a path that made them love Halo in the first place. An original storyline is dangerous in the video game-to-live action world as many people want to keep their digital versions the way they have already seen (or controlled) them. Enter: The Last Of Us. I admit that I had super high hopes for this series as I LOVE the first game (we may stay hush hush for now on the second). I tried not to fall in the trap of being too excited just be let down but I could not help it. The Last Of Us in game form was an epic telling of a story about lo

Is Saints Row Really THAT Bad?

What a loaded question the title of this article is. Why I decided to truly decide if this game is "good" or "bad" is actually beyond me. I've played about 30 hours of Saints Row and my conclusion is this: it's fun! Seriously. The writing may be weird and trying way too hard to resonate with a younger "woke" audience, the gameplay has its bugs (a fair share of them) and some of the missions can be bland or straight-up broken. But honestly, the game is one of the "turn your mind off and blow shit up" types of times. Full disclaimer, I bought this game at a 20 dollar price point. I do NOT think it's worth anything above 40.  With the launch Saints Row had and being nearly unplayable then, it seems to have been patched up quite a bit. Some troubles still linger and it is extremely noticeable when encountering something that's not right. For example, I started a side hustle (side mission) in between the main story. Every time I select

GBA Nintendo Switch Online Review

Nintendo has finally brought Game Boy Advance games to Nintendo Switch Online! My first introduction to video games was actually with the GBA. Whether it was late night Pokemon Sapphire sessions with that swirly spaghetti light. Being very confused by the strange CDs collected in Wario Land 4 (look them up, some trippy shit). Or, challenging my brother to Mario Kart, and losing every time, I had some great memories with this system. Now that Nintendo has brought these back, I'm excited to revisit these classics. Let's see how these hold up in 2023. Mario Kart Advance Out of all the games brought to NSO, Mario Kart Advance was the one I played the most. I had all the tracks and shortcuts memorized. Even those tricky “invisible” shortcuts on Boo’s squeaky-ass wooden courses. There are so many great courses on here plus a bunch of SNES tracks which is a neat addition. Some of my favorites include ribbon road, cheese land and cheap cheap beach. Not only do I have many of these cour
