Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Wars Rune And Dunan Unification Wars DELAYED

Well, here it is folks. What Suikoden fans were worried about following the news of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes being delayed until next year. The Suikoden 1 and 2 remasters are being delayed as well. While there is no official release date as of yet, you can check out the full statement from Konami: We would like to thank Suikoden fans everywhere for your ongoing passion and support for the Suikoden series. Regarding the planned release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, we have reached the conclusion that despite the very best efforts of our dedicated development staff to release the Remasters in 2023, additional time is needed to ensure the quality performance and gameplay experience our users deserve. The entire Suikoden team is renewing our efforts to bring Suikoden I & II HD Remaster to release as soon as is possible. We will share further release information as soon as it becomes available, on our official social media accounts an...

I Played Madden 24: Review

Here it is, folks. A new year. A new Madden. I will let you know that I have not played a Madden NFL game since Madden 13. Yes. That is important. Madden 24 was an exciting thought for me. Having not played one in ten years, I felt like there would be plenty of NEW to experience. Well. I was wrong. This does beg to question: How much NEW can you put in a simulation game? That is pretty hard to answer. I will say that while I can very much notice the new fresh pain and details, this pretty much feels like Madden. A clunky menu that takes far too long to load, especially on these new gen consoles, glitchy ball and player physics, bare bones modes (the new Showdown mode has literally nothing to it other than 3 v 3 gameplay) and more "That costs HOW MUCH?" microtransactions than before.  I started off with the Superstar mode. Which seems like a direct knock-off of the NBA 2K MyPlayer. I know story modes have been in Madden before but this gives you a player rating, currency AND ...

Why Aren't Arcade Sports Games More Popular?

NBA Jam. NFL Blitz. NBA/NFL Street. NHL Hitz. MLB Slugfest. These games were all staples in my childhood. They caused friendships to turn into rivalries, egos to inflate, and more trash talk and catchphrases than you can imagine. But why didn't their success translate over to the digital age? When you think about being able to play Blitz against ANYONE in the world, it sounds incredible. I'm not sure if the appeal of playing against someone right by your side was lost once simulation sports took over the online space but I just don't get it. Quick game types seem perfect for the modern styles of play we have now. Most of these matches took 5-10 minutes to complete and always ended up with a "just one more" type of feel to them. Whether it was activating superpowers, making an impossible play, juggling three fumbles on one play, fighting your fellow hockey opponent, or launching a 600-foot fireball homerun, these were always "OH SNAP" moments.  Over the ...

I decided to give Vampire Survivors a try thanks to Game Pass

Hear me out: I looked at Vampire Survivors' screenshots when the game originally released back in 2022 and had a sort of "meh" reaction. Not because of graphics or anything, but because it looked so overwhelming and not really what I was into at the time. I love roguelikes and bullet hells like Hades and Enter The Gungeon, but this game just didn't appeal to me. I really cannot explain it. Enter: Xbox Game Pass. Everyone knows about this so I won't do too much explaining here. But as I was checking out my rewards quests (play a game pass game for x amount of points), I wanted something I could earn a quick achievement in. So Vampire Survivors came across my screen. "Okay I guess" I thought to myself. "We'll get in, get an achievement, and get out." I was wrong. So. So. Wrong. I COMPLETELY see why this game got everyone hooked. I played one round thinking it would be enough and now all I want to do is play more. It's such a simple concep...

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Is Indeed Headed To PS4, Xbox One

No worries and no more back in forth, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fans! The game is headed to Playstation 4, and Xbox One consoles!  What does this mean in terms of quality for the port? We don't know! I'm sure there would have to be a lower resolution and frame rate type of move happening. But overall, MORE people can play this fantastic entry in the series. I find that to be a win!  No release dates or time frame has been set yet (at the time of this writing) but I imagine it won't be too far off. We look forward to seeing more from Respawn in the future and are excited they keep making awesome games.
