A.K.I Slithers into Street Fighter 6!

The second Street Fighter 6 DLC character is here! A.K.I, a brand new character to the series arrived this week, just in time for Halloween. Her slithery, unsettling, poison wielding moves will be sure to not only creep out players, but also shake things up for the online warriors out there.    She has a mix of mid and long range range moves, plus projectiles and specials that inflict poison on the opponent. Her moveset and specials take inspiration from F.A.N.G. Well... not surprising because she's an apprentice of F.A.N.G! Not only that, she's a little bit obsessed with him. Ok, maybe A LOT bit obsessed. Don’t worry though, she’s way cooler than F.A.N.G. Her design (I'm still 50/50 on the hair) and engaging move set make her way more appealing to use than her obsession.   Street Fighter's YouTube page has a great breakdown of her gameplay. If you want to learn a bit about her move set, strengths, and weaknesses, I recommend that you watch! So far I’m having a blast us...

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 Update is Huge

A few days ago, I re-installed Cyberpunk 2077 on my Playstation 5. I had not played the game for nearly a year at this point. I wanted to remember how it felt before the 2.0 update dropped. Well, now that 2.0 the comparison can be made, it feels like a totally different game. From skill point resets to cosmetics being actually cosmetic, Cyberpunk 2077 will now be back in my rotation! But don't just take my word for it. Check out the massive list update log below: Combat New Police System The NCPD will chase you when you commit a crime, whether on foot or in a vehicle. The types of units in pursuit and their behavior will depend on your NCPD Wanted Level. These chases can include various NCPD vehicles, roadblocks and MaxTac swooping in with AVs. The NCPD will now be present in the world, actively patrolling the streets of Night City. Officers working at crime scenes will now also engage in pursuits. You can now hear NCPD radio chatter through the radio. It’s now possible to quickhac...

F-Zero 99 On Nintendo Switch Is A Crazy Good Time

F-Zero was one of my favorite games ever on the SNES. The iconic soundtrack, the cool graphics, the weird...alien beams that heal your car as you smash your way around the track. Racing against a few people at a time can surely be thrilling but of course, you're working with the old Nintendo hardware. Enter: F-Zero 99. In the vain of Tetris 99, or Mario 35, this game pits you against 98 other drivers willing to bump you into oblivion. It is insane. It is chaotic. It is a ton of fun. Not only do you race against all these people in a 4 lap race elimination style (you're only "safe" past certain positions after laps), you get to customize your car, player card, and badge. The races are usually just a few short minutes and definitely blast you in the face full of nostalgia. Even if you have never played an F-Zero title before, it's worth giving this a try if you are a Nintendo Switch Online Member. In my 10+ races, I have clenched more areas than I am willing to admi...

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gets A Release Date And New Trailer!

Get out your Buster swords! Cloud and the gang are BACK on February 29th, 2024. During the Playstation State Of Play, we got another look at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Oh it looks awesome. Some disheartening news about the game is that you will NOT be able to transfer your save from Final Fantasy VII Remake so if you were expecting character progression to come along with you, sorry about your luck. Regardless, check out the Avalanche crew in their search for Sephiroth in the trailer below!  " The Unknown Journey Continues... After escaping from the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends set out on a journey across the planet. New adventures await in a vibrant and vast world – sprint across grassy plains on a Chocobo and explore expansive environments. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Finally Has A Release Date Announced During Nintendo Direct

Yes yes and more YES. During the Nintendo Direct today we finally got a release date for spiritual successor to Suikoden, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. On April 23, 2024 we will get to play the highly anticipated turn-based RPG from Rabbit & Bear Studios. EC:HH features old school pixel sprite work similar to Suikoden. It features the creators and writers from the original game so it is very familiar. Featuring over 100 characters to recruit and join your quest, you will will embark on a vast adventure through the war-torn continent of Allraan. This is one that has been one that I have waited YEARS for since their Kickstarter broke records back in 2020.  There has been a resurgence in nostaligic type video games recently, especially after the popularity of Octopath Traveler and I couldn't be more excited for this revolution. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be out for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

I Cannot Help But Like Starfield

This may not be at the level of a particular Adoring Fan but I have to say, I am enjoying Starfield. I have read many reports that the game doesn't "get good" until 10+ hours into it and I have to disagree. If you're looking for a mix of Outer Worlds and No Mans Sky, this definitely gives you that fix. Starfield isn't revolutionary. It's not even different. In fact, it's more of the exact same formula Bethesda has used before. While I criticize this in most sports games, there is a charm with it in these cases. Starfield is not a glorified roster update like Madden. It is the 2K story mode update which I really appreciate. Bethesda took the time to craft an actual campaign and interesting quests for you to explore. Sure, there are some duds here and there as not EVERY quest cannot be the most spectacular thing in the galaxy, but overall, I find it to be fun and engaging. Now let us be clear on one thing here: The planets are pretty dull for the most part. ...

MEOW! Stray Gets Animated Movie

If you don't speak cat, the title of this article says "Annapurna announced that the video game that took the world by the paws in 2022, Stray, will be developed into an animated movie." I know that seems a lot for just one word, but that is how cats work. I wouldn't question it. The project is going to be headed by former Disney Animation buffs Robert Baird and Andrew Millstein so that gets me pretty excited for what this has in store. Stray is a fantastic and unique game that I highly recommend playing if you have not done so yet. This does beg the question though, what video games would you like to see get the animated treatment? Let us know in the comments below! Want more DRYF news? Check out more information about Suikoden getting delayed here: Suikoden Delayed

This Relic Is EASY Mode in Sea Of Stars

Well hold on. That's a little misleading. If you've been playing Sea Of Stars, you know about the relics. If you're just starting, there is a relic you automatically get at the end of the prologue called Amulet Of Storytelling. What this puppy does is bring you up to max HP+100% and auto heals you after combat. It basically reduces the amount of time you need to spend harvesting resources or healing items in the game. Do I feel shameful using it? Not at all. Sometimes I want to be fully rested up without having to rely on my brain to do so. So far this Relic does not disable achievements so I recommended it if you are wanting to focus on story instead of farming items.  There are other relics in the game that give xp boosts or even INCREASE the difficulty of the game (enemies have 40% more health). With a bunch of customizable options, what are YOU using in Sea Of Stars?
