The Suikoden series has been near and dear to me for over 30 years now. First off, yes my knees hurt. Secondly, it's a series that is filled with rich history and deep lore of war, romance, betrayal, and friendship. Spanning 5 mainline entries (plus some visual novels, a tactics game, and a spiritual successor made by the creator), there is A LOT to cover. Each game presents 108 "Stars of Destiny" that you recruit and build up your army to defend and bring justice to corrupt empires.
Well, after many, many years, we are getting treated to a brand new entry into the world of Suikoden. This time by way of a mobile game. Announced today at Konami's Suikoden Live Broadcast, Suikoden STAR LEAP is set to bring a brand new, full fledged story in the same world and setting as the Suiko series. With traditional 108 new characters, a link to past games, the retro pixel graphical style we have come to love, events (and gatcha, of course), we have an exciting time ahead of us. Each character is fully voiced as well as the story. Even 150 BGM were created JUST for STAR LEAP.

An anime based of Suikoden 2 was also announced alongside some other Japan only related items. An orchestra night on May 5th and a play based off of the same game set for December 2025. You can watch the rest of the announcements and they hype ahead of the Suikoden 1 & 2 Remasters release on March 6th HERE.
