Will The Nintendo Switch 2 Be Worth It? - Our Wishlist

I like the Nintendo Switch. I would like it a lot more with achievements (I need to feed my ego, leave me alone) but that is a topic for another day. The feeling of knowing I can take my console with me at any time and get a solid The Legend Of Zelda experience is weirdly comforting. Even if I never touch the thing while out, it becomes my safety net.  What I do not like is how games that aren't Nintendo look and feel on it. Heck, even some Nintendo games (looking at you, Pokemon) are a drag to get going. This feeling impairs my safety net as now, if it's not a pixel art game like Stardew Valley or a first party Mario game, I am not wanting to boot it up. Now, I fully understand that the Switch was never intended to be a 4K powerhouse. That makes sense to me. What I don't get is what Nintendo expected the shelf life of the console to be. They know by now how fast technology moves and how fast things become obsolete. So it's strange to me that the Switch was not built wi...

Are We Still Excited For New Switch Games?

The Nintendo Switch has been a phenomenal console in its run. An absolute success for Nintendo financially and for gamers, we got a (mostly) full console experience on the go! Mario Odyssey on the train? Check. Skyrim on the toilet? Double check. Being able to play Breath of the Wild and the vast amount of Pokémon games anywhere and at any time has been an awesome time over the last 7 or so years and more people than ever have been able to play cool video games. In its later years, though, we've started to see a decline in what the console itself can actually do. Tears of the Kingdom pushed the Switch to its limits and while it is extremely impressive, it is hard not to think of what the game could look and feel like on better hardware. Super Mario RPG, Thousand Year Door, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and plenty others are examples of how awesome it can actually be. A lot of ports that come to the Switch often fail in comparison to their heavy duty counterparts (looking at you Mort...

Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remastered FINALLY Has A Release Date

Good news, JRPG fans! Long after its initial announcement and a year after its delay, Suikoden 1 and 2 FINALLY has a release date. March 6, 2025. This has been a game I have been waiting for for WAY too long. After the delay when the game was supposed to be released in 2023, there was little hope in the RPG community that this game would ever be released. But here we are. Announced in the Partner showcase portion of the Nintendo Direct on August 27th, we get the, hopefully, final release date.

F-Zero 99 On Nintendo Switch Is A Crazy Good Time

F-Zero was one of my favorite games ever on the SNES. The iconic soundtrack, the cool graphics, the weird...alien beams that heal your car as you smash your way around the track. Racing against a few people at a time can surely be thrilling but of course, you're working with the old Nintendo hardware. Enter: F-Zero 99. In the vain of Tetris 99, or Mario 35, this game pits you against 98 other drivers willing to bump you into oblivion. It is insane. It is chaotic. It is a ton of fun. Not only do you race against all these people in a 4 lap race elimination style (you're only "safe" past certain positions after laps), you get to customize your car, player card, and badge. The races are usually just a few short minutes and definitely blast you in the face full of nostalgia. Even if you have never played an F-Zero title before, it's worth giving this a try if you are a Nintendo Switch Online Member. In my 10+ races, I have clenched more areas than I am willing to admi...
