A.K.I Slithers into Street Fighter 6!

The second Street Fighter 6 DLC character is here! A.K.I, a brand new character to the series arrived this week, just in time for Halloween. Her slithery, unsettling, poison wielding moves will be sure to not only creep out players, but also shake things up for the online warriors out there.    She has a mix of mid and long range range moves, plus projectiles and specials that inflict poison on the opponent. Her moveset and specials take inspiration from F.A.N.G. Well... not surprising because she's an apprentice of F.A.N.G! Not only that, she's a little bit obsessed with him. Ok, maybe A LOT bit obsessed. Don’t worry though, she’s way cooler than F.A.N.G. Her design (I'm still 50/50 on the hair) and engaging move set make her way more appealing to use than her obsession.   Street Fighter's YouTube page has a great breakdown of her gameplay. If you want to learn a bit about her move set, strengths, and weaknesses, I recommend that you watch! So far I’m having a blast us...

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 Update is Huge

A few days ago, I re-installed Cyberpunk 2077 on my Playstation 5. I had not played the game for nearly a year at this point. I wanted to remember how it felt before the 2.0 update dropped. Well, now that 2.0 the comparison can be made, it feels like a totally different game. From skill point resets to cosmetics being actually cosmetic, Cyberpunk 2077 will now be back in my rotation! But don't just take my word for it. Check out the massive list update log below: Combat New Police System The NCPD will chase you when you commit a crime, whether on foot or in a vehicle. The types of units in pursuit and their behavior will depend on your NCPD Wanted Level. These chases can include various NCPD vehicles, roadblocks and MaxTac swooping in with AVs. The NCPD will now be present in the world, actively patrolling the streets of Night City. Officers working at crime scenes will now also engage in pursuits. You can now hear NCPD radio chatter through the radio. It’s now possible to quickhac...

Get out your Buster swords! Cloud and the gang are BACK on February 29th, 2024. During the Playstation State Of Play, we got another look at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Oh it looks awesome. This Relic Is EASY Mode in Sea Of Stars

Well hold on. That's a little misleading. If you've been playing Sea Of Stars, you know about the relics. If you're just starting, there is a relic you automatically get at the end of the prologue called Amulet Of Storytelling. What this puppy does is bring you up to max HP+100% and auto heals you after combat. It basically reduces the amount of time you need to spend harvesting resources or healing items in the game. Do I feel shameful using it? Not at all. Sometimes I want to be fully rested up without having to rely on my brain to do so. So far this Relic does not disable achievements so I recommended it if you are wanting to focus on story instead of farming items.  There are other relics in the game that give xp boosts or even INCREASE the difficulty of the game (enemies have 40% more health). With a bunch of customizable options, what are YOU using in Sea Of Stars?

I Played Madden 24: Review

Here it is, folks. A new year. A new Madden. I will let you know that I have not played a Madden NFL game since Madden 13. Yes. That is important. Madden 24 was an exciting thought for me. Having not played one in ten years, I felt like there would be plenty of NEW to experience. Well. I was wrong. This does beg to question: How much NEW can you put in a simulation game? That is pretty hard to answer. I will say that while I can very much notice the new fresh pain and details, this pretty much feels like Madden. A clunky menu that takes far too long to load, especially on these new gen consoles, glitchy ball and player physics, bare bones modes (the new Showdown mode has literally nothing to it other than 3 v 3 gameplay) and more "That costs HOW MUCH?" microtransactions than before.  I started off with the Superstar mode. Which seems like a direct knock-off of the NBA 2K MyPlayer. I know story modes have been in Madden before but this gives you a player rating, currency AND ...

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Is Indeed Headed To PS4, Xbox One

No worries and no more back in forth, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fans! The game is headed to Playstation 4, and Xbox One consoles!  What does this mean in terms of quality for the port? We don't know! I'm sure there would have to be a lower resolution and frame rate type of move happening. But overall, MORE people can play this fantastic entry in the series. I find that to be a win!  No release dates or time frame has been set yet (at the time of this writing) but I imagine it won't be too far off. We look forward to seeing more from Respawn in the future and are excited they keep making awesome games.

Dead Island 2 Review - More Of The Same?

Dead Island 2, the HIGHLY anticipated sequel to the popular open-world zombie survival game series, has finally arrived. I was one of the few who actually liked the first game. So naturally, I couldn't wait to dive into zombie-infested California.. However, after spending several hours (about 10-15 at the time of this writing) with the game, I have mixed feelings about it. So hey. A positive. The graphics and overall visual design of Dead Island 2 are impressive. This game looks AWESOME. I have been playing on PS5 and have said "whoa" many times thus far. Great character models, creepy skin-tearing effects, and lush landscapes, the visuals are great. Detail is in almost every place you look. From hitting enemies in specific spots and watching that area degrade or rip off is stunning to watch. Of course, since it is detail oriented, you will notice things that are repeated throughout the game. There is a certain DVD series and photos in frames that pop up in many houses. T...

WWE 2K23 REVIEW: AND HIS NAME IS!

**This review was based on the Playstation 5 version of WWE 2K23** WWE 2K has had a pivotal shift in direction with last year's 2K22. It proved that by taking some time off and being able to focus on the game development at hand, you can create something awesome. Refined gameplay, graphics, mechanics, and GM modes felt great to play. The skip from 2K20 to 2K22 was extremely beneficial. It did suffer from the WWE layoffs where the majority of its roster was axed by the time the game came out. That's not on 2K, though. Chalk that up to the ever-changing wrestling business just doing its thing at the worst timing possible.  WWE 2K23 takes all these things I mentioned and keeps them going. I will be straight-up honest, there is not much on the "improvement" side of things that immediately jumps out, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I REALLY enjoyed the MyRise and online modes in 2K22. They are back and great again. The most notable improvements I have found were t...

Retrospective: Borderlands

After completing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on the Playstation 5, I have decided to go back to where my love for the looter shooter began: Borderlands. Booting up the Game Of The Year remastered edition was an instant blast of nostalgia. Even with the updated graphics and faster loading times, I could not help but think of the first time I played this game. I was living in my first apartment. Sort of rundown and sketchy but that didn't matter. All that mattered was my mind being focused on Borderlands. From it's silly little robot barking commands at me while I pew pew away at vulgar mouthed bandits, or the fact that this cel shading was so interesting and fresh from what I have been playing at the time. Borderlands is STILL great. Easily. Sure, it may feel a little flighty compared to later entries like 3 and Wonderlands but it still remains a fantastic shooter. Gunplay is such an experience since the millions of random gun combinations completely change your playstyle ever...

Backlog Chronicles: Scarlet Nexus

Scarlet Nexus released in 2021. I bought it, played for an hour or so, and then turned my attention to something else. I am sure you know how that goes. It's very rare that I do not like the game. More the "Oooh, shiny" approach I have had for the longest time to video games. Boy did I miss out. Scarlet Nexus is a fantastic action RPG developed by Bandai Namco Studios. Its anime-styled approach comes with tons of story elements through two main characters. You have Yuito and Kasane, both joining the OSF (the military of this world meant to fight Others which are monstrous alien creatures) as new recruits. They both have their own storylines that link up and to get the full picture, it is best to play through both characters. After you beat one, you have the option of a New Game Plus with the other. The writing here is great and I found myself wanting to know everything, even after I completed one story. I finished Yuito's first and absolutely had to go back to Kasane...
