Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Bringing Me Back

HAVE YOU SEEN THESE STARTERS? I'm going to set the record straight. I had a huge gap between my Pokemon Generations. I started with the original Red on Gameboy and skipped everything all the way to Sword on the Switch. What a difference. I have wanted to play the Pokemon games through the years but I just haven't got around to most handheld systems. I was always hoping that one day I would be able to play something a bit bigger on my TV. I did try out the Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and it was nostalgic and neat but it didn't really feed my need for NEW TV Pokemon. Sword/Shield did that. And I was happy. Now I know Arceus came out recently but I was still thrown off. Open world? Check. Played on the TV? Check. New Pokemon and original story? Not so much. ENTER SCARLET AND VIOLET. New starters. New Pokemon. New location. Open world. ON MY TV. What a dream! Watching the reveal trailer, I felt like a kid again. I instantly wanted to be in this world and already started planni

Being A Dad In The World Of Gaming

I have two kids. A five year old son and a few month old daughter. I also have 5 million games to play and write about. I have little to no time to balance both. My kids are my world. I love them to death. My 5 year old is getting into gaming with Mario, Plants Vs Zombies and Minecraft. I think it's awesome. What it means is that the games I am playing are mostly easy. (And frustrating if you have ever had a toddler throw you off a cliff in Super Mario 3D World). *it's not all smiles when your child tosses you to your death So when I get that ever so rare time to play a new game (without falling asleep in traditional dad fashion) I am SO ready to play something with a challenge or more adult. I will bring on a Dark Souls or DOOM Eternal and I realize that it's almost WAY too much. Going from happy go lucky jumping to adrenaline filled decapitations can be pretty jarring. I have all of a sudden lost my ability to do anything other than jump on blocks and throw turtle shells

NEW YEAR, NEW GAMES

It's 2022 and that means we all have our resolutions. My personal resolution is to finish games before buying new ones. The problem with that? So many good games come out before I can complete the ones I am playing.  If you read the Backlog Chronicles, you know that it took me a few years to even finish The Outer Worlds.  I am now JUST playing through Persona 5. What a daunting task! *image taken from XboxAchievements.com With so many games and so little time, it's exciting AND sometimes a bit overwhelming to think of what we want to finish or complete or even TRY. Are there any games you are looking forward to in 2022?

Dead By Daylight is getting a RINGU crossover

You heard that correctly. Everyone's favorite asymmetric online horror game is getting the creepy tv crawler lady into it's universe. Can this game get any more spooky?  I'm sure it can. Check out the trailer below:
