MultiVersus has fulfilled my Smash Burnout

Let's get one thing straight: MultiVersus is not Smash. It is CLEARLY inspired by it in a wave of games doing the same (Nickelodeon All Star Brawl being one of the most recent). While a lot of these wanna-bes fail short, MultiVersus pushes way ahead of the rest and shows it has what it takes to be a legit competitor to Nintendo's Ultimate fighter mash-up. What separates MultiVersus from everything else is the strategy. Cooldowns on attacks so you can't repeatedly spam certain moves over and over again (while you can, you get Attack Decay on attacks that make sure your repeated attacks do less damage), Wall jumping instead of ledge grappling (taken from Brawlhalla) and dodging becoming such a powerful tool in the absence of a block button. Perks are added specifically for each character/type. So Iron Giant doesn't feel the same as Shaggy You can also argue that WB may also have more of a recognizable roster than anyone else presenting this type of game (look, I love the

Is It Time To Move On From Current Gen?

I have a Playstation 5. I do not have an Xbox Series X. Do I feel we should be making games almost exclusively for a console I do not have? Yes. Here is why: I fully believe that once you introduce a new hardware system, your focus should be on that system. I get that demand is higher than supply and not everyone can afford the newest tech, BUT I also feel that a lot of advancements are slowed or suffered through the lifecycle of that newest tech. When you are trying to make a huge, vast, next generation landscape with updated features but also trying to make sure to include it on a previous generation, not only does it take more time and effort to include the previous but it also lowers the capabilities of the new. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is essentially the same game on Playstation 4 & 5. How different would it be if it were ONLY on Playstation 5 nearly 2 years ago? I'm not saying you can't make games for last generation but when you are trying to advance features a

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Worldwide Reveal

It's that time of year again. Call Of Duty is ramping up its reveal season leading into the release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The follow up to 2019's (pretty well received) Modern Warfare reboot is on the way with a release date of October 28th. This year, Call Of Duty seems to have upped their game by adding a more explosive campaign and seemingly a focus on team work. Will this mean a Co-Op campaign?? Check out the worldwide reveal here:

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising Has Been My Stress Relief

In a time filled with First Person Shooters, Season Passes and never ending loot, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising halts that with a peaceful and happy filled soundtrack mixed with easy to handle controls and supremely elegant visuals. Sure, you often find yourself repeating levels over and over but they're not that long. Fetch quests galore? Yep. Again, not an issue. Fighting my way through evil bats, plants that shoot seeds at me and the occasional giant tree that comes to life only to attempt to rip out my soul, I've never been happier to hop back and forth between Town and Dungeon (level? area? fighting space!). Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is the precursor to 505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios' upcoming  Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes which is essentially a spiritual successor to the Suikoden Series. It's basically the original creators who started such a huge Kickstarter to get the game launched into the atmosphere. In Rising, though, you take over as CJ. A young,
