Dragon Ball Z + Fortnite CONFIRMED

That is right. We now live in a time where Goku will be able to team up or fight Superman, Spider-Man, Neymar JR AND Lara Croft. Epic Games official Twitter account confirmed the news today: The Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover event begins on August 16th, 2022. Are you excited?

Backlog Chronicles: Yakuza Kiwami

Yakuza is a game and series I have always heard about since the Playstation 2 era. Back then I was interested in this type of genre but was wrapped up in the likes of True Crime, Grand Theft Auto and similar titles. Sad to say, Yakuza got overlooked. I even played through and loved the Shenmue series. This would have been right up my alley. Well. Here we are in 2022. I actually own all the Yakuza games (they are always on sale and I have a problem) and have still yet to play a single one. Until now. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original title from back in 2005/2006. There is no better time than now to play an old classic because at this point it is probably remastered or ported to newer consoles. My first impressions upon loading the game up were crazy excitement. An energetic soundtrack showcases action packed scenes from points throughout the story and I cannot wait to experience them myself. We then set foot in Kazuma Kiryu's shoes as he runs through the city of ...

MultiVersus has fulfilled my Smash Burnout

Let's get one thing straight: MultiVersus is not Smash. It is CLEARLY inspired by it in a wave of games doing the same (Nickelodeon All Star Brawl being one of the most recent). While a lot of these wanna-bes fail short, MultiVersus pushes way ahead of the rest and shows it has what it takes to be a legit competitor to Nintendo's Ultimate fighter mash-up. What separates MultiVersus from everything else is the strategy. Cooldowns on attacks so you can't repeatedly spam certain moves over and over again (while you can, you get Attack Decay on attacks that make sure your repeated attacks do less damage), Wall jumping instead of ledge grappling (taken from Brawlhalla) and dodging becoming such a powerful tool in the absence of a block button. Perks are added specifically for each character/type. So Iron Giant doesn't feel the same as Shaggy You can also argue that WB may also have more of a recognizable roster than anyone else presenting this type of game (look, I love the...

Is It Time To Move On From Current Gen?

I have a Playstation 5. I do not have an Xbox Series X. Do I feel we should be making games almost exclusively for a console I do not have? Yes. Here is why: I fully believe that once you introduce a new hardware system, your focus should be on that system. I get that demand is higher than supply and not everyone can afford the newest tech, BUT I also feel that a lot of advancements are slowed or suffered through the lifecycle of that newest tech. When you are trying to make a huge, vast, next generation landscape with updated features but also trying to make sure to include it on a previous generation, not only does it take more time and effort to include the previous but it also lowers the capabilities of the new. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is essentially the same game on Playstation 4 & 5. How different would it be if it were ONLY on Playstation 5 nearly 2 years ago? I'm not saying you can't make games for last generation but when you are trying to advance features a...
